CALLS FOR PROPOSALS
Upcoming : Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) 2026
Applications will be open from Tuesday, November 4, 2025 to Thursday, December 11, 2025
The Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS) is a Government of Canada initiative delivered in partnership with 12 federal departments, agencies, and Crown corporations. The Strategy helps young people (aged 15 to 30), particularly those facing barriers to employment, access the employment supports, skills development, and job opportunities they need to successfully transition into the labour market. The Canada Summer Jobs program, part of YESS, provides wage subsidies to support employers in creating quality summer job opportunities for youth aged 15 to 30.
Regional Tariff Response Initiative
Deadline : Friday, Octobre 31, 2025 at Noon
To support manufacturing SMEs negatively affected by tariffs, the government has launched the Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI). This program enables businesses impacted by tariffs to invest in order to remain competitive in the long term.
Health Canada Emergency Treatment Fund
Deadline : Tuesday, November 4, 2025
The Call for proposals for the Emergency Treatment Fund (ETF) is now open to organizations across the country. Through the ETF, the Government of Canada helps municipalities and First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities address urgent needs related to the overdose crisis. The ETF funds projects that address immediate needs, as identified by the communities, related to substance use and the overdose crisis to support local capacity and provide access to culturally relevant, trauma-informed, and evidence-based programs and services.
Youth Take Charge
Deadline : Monday, November 17, 2025 at 4pm
The Youth Take Charge Program provides funding for projects that aim to strengthen youth attachment to Canada through engagement. Under this program, youth is defined as individuals aged 7 to 30. The Program ultimately aims to provide participants with experiences that contribute to strengthening their sense of attachment to Canada through engagement, based on 4 key objectives:
- participants are better aware of the importance of being an active and engaged citizen
- participants are more engaged in communities
- participants have a better sense of shared Canadian identity
- youth-serving organizations are relevant to youth
Special Measures for Journalism — Canada Periodical Fund
Deadline : Monday, November 17, 2025 at 4pm
Canadian Heritage announced an additional 1-year support to strengthen local and diverse journalism. The Special Measures for Journalism component of the Canada Periodical Fund provides financial support to Canadian publishers of print magazines and print community (non-daily) newspapers, to enable them to overcome market disadvantages. The Fund ensures Canadians have access to diverse Canadian editorial content in print magazines and community newspapers.
Local Journalism Initiative

The Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) supports the creation of original civic journalism that covers the diverse needs of underserved communities across Canada.
Funding is available to eligible Canadian media organizations to hire journalists or pay freelance journalists to produce civic journalism for underserved communities.
Celebrate Canada funding program
Deadline : Friday, November 21, 2025 at 4pm
The Celebrate Canada program provides funding for activities organized on:
- National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21)
- Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day (June 24)
- Canadian Multiculturalism Day (June 27)
- Canada Day (July 1)
Soccer-themed activities for Canada Day 2026
Deadline : Friday, November 21, 2025 at 4pm
In 2026, Canada will co-host the FIFA World Cup 26™ with the United States and Mexico. To enable Canadians to join in the celebrations surrounding this important event, Celebrate Canada will provide up to $5,000 in funding for its beneficiaries to add soccer-related activities to their Canada Day event.

Programs through Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions

Various funding programs and support for SMEs and economic non-profit organizations (NPOs) in all regions of Quebec.
Initiative to Support Economic Development in Montréal’s East End
Deadline: There is no deadline to apply
The Government of Canada committed in Budget 2021 to support the economic transformation of Montréal’s East End and helped mobilize the community during the November 2023 Sommet de l’Est, while also announcing concrete action. As such, the federal government will invest $30M in the coming years in projects by SMEs and NPOs that will have economic spin-offs in Montréal’s East End. The aim is to promote development opportunities that foster the region’s revitalization, attractiveness, and sustainable reindustrialization. How to apply.
Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund
Deadline: Wednesday March 4th, 2026 for Stream 2
The Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund will provide up to $1.5 billion in federal funding until 2030 for clean energy and transportation infrastructure projects necessary to enable the sustainable development and expansion of critical minerals in Canada.
Tourism Growth Program
Deadline: Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Projects that are supported must be completed by this date
The Tourism Growth Program is now open in Quebec, with a budget of $21.1 million. SMEs, NPOs and social economy enterprises active in the tourism industry can now apply to the program through Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED). CED’s support focuses on increasing the capacity of local tourist attractions to enhance their potential to attract visitors from outside Quebec by supporting the development of tourism products and experiences, in particular in rural and remote regions.
Regional Homebuilding Innovation Initiative
Deadline: Applications accepted while funds last until Tuesday, March 31, 2026
Delivered by Canada’s regional development agencies, the Regional Homebuilding Innovation Initiative (RHII) provides for one-time funding of $50 million up to March 31, 2026, to develop innovative manufacturing solutions to accelerate the construction of multi-unit residential housing across the country.

Emission reduction Advancement Program (ERAP)

The Emissions Reduction Advancement Program (ERAP) is a new industry-funded, federally managed program that provides an alternative compliance option under the Clean Fuel Regulations for fuel suppliers. Contributions made by fuel suppliers under this program will go towards supporting projects that will reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Canada.

Canada Community Security Program
Deadline: Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the yearly funding has been allocated
The Government of Canada is committed to protecting the safety and security of Canadians. Public Safety Canada (PS) is working to build a safe and resilient Canada and has a renewed commitment to this goal through the Canada Community Security Program (CCSP). The CCSP provides time-limited funding and support for communities at risk of hate-motivated incidents and hate-motivated crimes to enhance physical security at their gathering spaces.
Ecological Gifts Program
Deadline: There is no deadline to apply
Canada’s Ecological Gifts Program provides a way for Canadians with ecologically sensitive land to protect nature and leave a legacy for future generations. Made possible by the terms of the Income Tax Act of Canada and the Quebec Taxation Act, it offers significant tax benefits to landowners who donate land or a partial interest in land to a qualified recipient. Recipients ensure that the land’s biodiversity and environmental heritage are conserved in perpetuity.
Young Canada Works
Deadline for students and graduates: There is no deadline.
Deadline for employers: The deadlines for internship applications are determined by the delivery organization that administers the program, the Fédération de la jeunesse canadienne-française (FJCF). Please contact the FJCF to inquire about deadlines.
Young Canada Works (YCW) offers a variety of short-term job and internship programs to job seekers and employers. Students can apply to two short-term job programs, while graduates can apply to two internship programs. Read more about YCW for students and graduates. Consultation on potential amendments to the Cannabis Tracking System Order

Consulting Canadians on the operation of the Canada-US-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA)

Consulting Canadians to seek their views and experiences on key areas of Canada-US-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) that are working well and on potential areas for improvement. Submissions received from these consultations will help to inform Canada’s preparations for the joint review in 2026 and other efforts to ensure the effective operation of the Agreement.
Options for emerald ash borer management in Canada
Deadline : Sunday, November 30, 2025
The emerald ash borer (Agrilus planipennis) is a highly destructive invasive beetle that attacks and kills all species of ash (Fraxinus spp). It has already killed millions of trees in North America. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) intends to reevaluate its management strategy for the emerald ash borer, and is consulting with partners, industry, stakeholders and Indigenous Peoples on the best way forward.

Call for applications for the first Parliamentary Visual Artist Laureate
Deadline : Sunday, November 16, 2025
The position of Parliamentary Visual Artist Laureate was created through an amendment to the Parliament of Canada Act in 2024. Selected by the Speaker of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Parliamentary Visual Artist Laureate will be an individual who has made a significant contribution to Canada’s artistic community. The selected candidate will be named in the spring of 2026 and will hold office for a term of up to two years. The focus of the Parliamentary Visual Artist Laureate role is on the promotion of the arts in Canada, through Parliament, including by fostering knowledge, enjoyment, awareness and development of the arts.
Odyssey – Language Assistant Program
Deadline: Open for applications
Odyssey is a bilingual, paid work experience that provides opportunities for postsecondary students to travel to another province. English-speaking candidates can work in English in Quebec or New Brunswick, while French-speaking candidates can work in French in a province or territory other than their own. Participants work 25 hours per week and receive a taxable salary of $27,000 for a nine-month work term.
Youth Exchanges Canada
Deadline: Applications reviewed on a continual basis
The Exchanges Canada Program helps youth to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the country, while connecting with other youth in Canada. Youth Exchanges Canada supports a number of Canadian organizations in offering reciprocal exchanges for individual youth or groups of youth, generally between the ages of 12 and 17. Youth from different parts of the country are paired according to their ages and interests, then each participant takes a turn hosting their “twin” in their home.
