CALLS FOR PROPOSALS

 1 - Canada Summer Jobs program – Last chance to apply!

Deadline : Friday, January 29, 2021

The Canada Summer Jobs program provides wage subsidies of up to 75% to employers to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years. In 2021, the program will offer up to 120,000 jobs for young Canadians between 15 and 30 years of age, representing a 50% increase from the 80 000 jobs approved in 2020. We have expanded the 2021 Canada Summer Jobs program to help employers adapt to the realities of COVID-19, and support young Canadians in getting the skills and experience they need. News Release   Local priorities in Laurier—Sainte-Marie


2 - Veteran and Family Well-Being Fund
Deadline : Monday, February 8, 2021

Veterans Affairs Canada launched a call for applications for the Veteran and Family Well-Being Fund. First announced in 2017, this Fund has previously supported innovative projects in areas ranging from Veteran homelessness, to entrepreneurship and more.


3 - Northern Contaminants Program
Deadline : Monday, February 15, 2021

Under the Northern Contaminants Program, the Government of Canada is providing $1 million in 2021-2022 for new projects focusing on environmental and community-based monitoring and research; health research; and capacity, communications and outreach activities. This will also include projects addressing knowledge gaps related to plastic pollution in Canada's Northern and Arctic regions, as part of Canada's Plastics Science Agenda.

4 - Deep Space Food Challenge
Deadline : Friday, July 30, 2021

The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) announced the 
Deep Space Food Challenge in Canada, a competition to develop innovative ways of producing food for astronauts on space missions to the Moon and Mars, while expanding opportunities for food production on Earth. The Deep Space Food Challenge is in line with Canada's Space Strategy's commitment to harness space to solve everyday challenges on Earth – like access to nutritious food. All Canadian innovators are invited to submit a design concept for their food production technology by July 30, 2021. News Release

 

PUBLIC CONSULTATIONS

 

1 - Transport Canada would like to modify the Grade Crossings Regulations. There are about 14,000 public and 9,000 private grade crossings along more than 40,000 kilometres of federally-regulated railway tracks in Canada. Deadline : Wednesday, February 3, 2021

2 - Prebudget Consultations - We launched budget consultations to hear the best ideas from Canadians and stakeholders across the country about how Budget 2021 can support Canadians through the pandemic and into the future. All Canadians are invited to share their ideas through an online questionnaire at LetsTalkBudget2021.caNR. Deadline : Friday, February 19, 2021

3 - Advancing Equity, Improving Lives: Minister Bardish Chagger Launches LGBTQ2 Survey and Engagement on Federal LGBTQ2 Action Plan.

4 - The CRTC launched a consultation on its proposed framework to address botnets, harmful networks of malware-infected computers that are under the control of a malicious actor. NR. Deadline : Monday, March 15, 2021

 

5 - Health Canada launched a public engagement process to advance the National Strategy for High-Cost Drugs and Rare DiseasesNR. Deadline : Friday, March 26, 2021


6 - Canada Launches Radioactive Waste Policy Engagement.

7 - The federal government has launched the consultation phase of the Canada Grain Act review. NR. Deadline : Friday, April 30, 2021
