We wish to inform you of the following federal calls for proposals, consultations, and appointment opportunities that are currently open.  
 

CALLS FOR PROPOSALS   
 
Wine Sector Support Program 
Deadline: Friday May 23rd, 2025  
The Wine Sector Support Program aims to provide short-term financial support to licensed Canadian wineries as they transition and adapt to ongoing and emerging challenges impacting the financial resilience and competitiveness of the wine industry. 
 
AgriCompetitiveness Program 
Deadline: Friday, May 30th, 2025 
The AgriCompetitiveness Program is s program under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP). The program will prioritize projects that develop sector capacity, build public trust and are national in scope with a broad focus spanning the agriculture industry. 
 
Agri-Diversity Program  
Deadline: Friday May 30th, 2025 
The AgriDiversity Program is a program under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP). It aims among other things to strengthen the sector and build its capacity by helping members from underrepresented and marginalized groups to develop their leadership skills to take on a greater leadership role.  
 
Environmental Damages Fund 
Deadline: Thursday June 12th, 2025 at 12 Pacific Time 
The Environmental Damages Fund receives money from fines, penalties, court orders, and voluntary payments for environmental violations. This money is used to support projects that will benefit Canada’s natural environment, usually in the area where the violation occurred. The Fund invests in projects falling within 4 funding categories: Restoration; Environmental quality improvement; Research and development, and Education and awareness.  
 

Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund  
Deadline: Friday June 27th, 2025 for Stream 1 / Wednesday March 4th, 2026 for Stream 2 
The Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund will provide up to $1.5 billion in federal funding until 2030 for clean energy and transportation infrastructure projects necessary to enable the sustainable development and expansion of critical minerals in Canada. 
 

Canada Book Fund, Support for Publishers 
Deadline: April 1st each year 
The Publishing Support sub-component of the Canada Book Fund (CBF) assists the ongoing production, marketing and distribution of Canadian-authored books. Supplementary funding based on export sales is also available as part of Publishing Support. 
 
Canada Arts Presentation Fund (CAPF) 
Deadline - programming: April 1st for projects which will occur after April 1st of the following year 
Deadline - development:  All applicants must contact the nearest regional office of the Department of Canadian Heritage to verify eligibility and obtain an application package 
The CAPF provides financial assistance to organizations that professionally present arts festivals or performing arts series (arts presenters) and organizations that offer support to arts presenters. 
 
The Residential Schools Missing Children Community Support Fund  
Deadline: For the next fiscal year, Monday, September 15, 2025 
The Residential Schools Missing Children Community Support Fund was established in 2022 to empower Indigenous communities and Survivors to lead the efforts in identifying children who did not return home from residential schools and locating burial sites linked to former residential schools. An independent, national, toll-free helpline is available to anyone who needs help. This line is accessible free of charge, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at 1-844-413-6649.  
 
Canada History Fund 
Deadline: Monday September 15th, 2025 
The Canada History Fund encourages Canadians to improve their knowledge about Canada's history, civics and public policy. The Fund supports the production of learning materials, the organization of learning activities and the creation or maintenance of networks. 
 
Sport Support Program 
Deadline for the Community Sport for All Initiative (CSAI) component : Monday, December 23, 2025 
The Sport Support Program supports the development of the Canadian sport system. Funding is provided to eligible organizations for programming that is aligned with the goals of the Canadian Sport Policy. 
 
Hosting Program of Sport Canada 
Deadline - International Major Multisport Games; International Single Sport Events; Canada Games: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis 
Deadline - International Multisport Games for Aboriginal Peoples and Persons with a Disability: December 31, of the year before 
The Hosting Program assists sport organizations to host the Canada Games and international sport events in Canada. The Program contributes to sport excellence and enhances the international profile of sport organizations in Canada. It also delivers sport, economic, social, cultural, and community benefits to Canadian communities. 
 
Tourism Growth Program   
Deadline: Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Projects that are supported must be completed by this date 
The Tourism Growth Program is now open in Quebec, with a budget of $21.1 million. SMEs, NPOs and social economy enterprises active in the tourism industry can now apply to the program through Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED).
 
Regional Homebuilding Innovation Initiative (RHII) 
Deadline: Applications accepted while funds last until Tuesday, March 31, 2026 
With an amount of $10.45M in Quebec, the RHII will support manufacturing companies in the residential multi-housing construction sector in the development and commercialization of innovative solutions. Investments made under the RHII will accelerate innovation in the sector while improving its productivity, with the goal of enabling Quebec builders to construct more homes, more quickly. 
 
Green Freight Program - Stream 1 Assess and Retrofit   
Deadline:Applications will be accepted on a continuous intake basis until March 31, 2027 
The Green Freight Program will help fleets reduce their fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions through fleet energy assessments, fleet retrofits, engine repowers, logistical best-practice implementation and the purchase of low carbon vehicles. Stream 1 of the Program is providing grant funding up to a maximum of $250,000 per Applicant towards Third-Party Fleet Energy Assessments and Truck/Trailer Equipment Retrofits.
 
The Low Carbon Economy Fund - Indigenous Leadership Fund   
Deadline: Wednesday, March 31, 2027  
The Low Carbon Economy Fund (LCEF)  supports projects to reduce Canada’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, generate clean growth, build resilient communities, and create good jobs for Canadians. The Indigenous Leadership Fund is a new program under the Low Carbon Economy Fund to support climate action by Indigenous peoples. Indigenous Leadership Fund - Canada.ca  
 
AgriAssurance Program   
Deadline: Applications will be accepted until September 30, 2027, or until all funding has been allowed 
The AgriAssurance Program is a program under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP). The program will contribute to the overarching objectives of Resiliency and Public Trust Strategic Initiatives of Sustainable CAP by enabling the development and adoption of industry-led sector-specific assurance systems to manage risks, enhance resiliency and address market considerations and challenges to public trust at the national level; and help small and medium-sized enterprises export products by supporting the adoption of assurance systems and tools to make verifiable claims in order to meet market requirements.   

 

AgriMarketing Program   
Deadline: Tuesday, September 30, 2027, or until all funding has been allowed 
The AgriMarketing Program is a $129.97-million program under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP). The program will support national agricultural sectors to increase and diversify exports to international markets and seize domestic market opportunities and grow the economy by increasing and diversifying Canadian exports of agriculture, agri-food, agri-based products, including fish and seafood, by increasing the visibility of Canadian products and increasing the capacity of exporting producers to identify and seize market development opportunities in targeted markets.  
 
AgriInnovate Program  
Deadline: Friday, March 31, 2028 
The program provides repayable contributions to incent targeted commercialization, demonstration and/or adoption of commercial-ready innovative technologies and processes that increase agricultural and agri-food sector competitiveness and sustainability benefits. 
 
AgriScience Program  
Deadline: Friday, March 31, 2028 
The AgriScience Program, under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP), aims to accelerate innovation by providing funding and support for pre-commercial science activities and research that benefits the agriculture and agri-food sector and Canadians.  
 
National Trade Corridors Fund 
Deadline: Friday March 31st, 2028 
The core BRM programs are, in part, designed to help producers deal with the income and production losses they experience when disasters occur. AgriRecovery cannot duplicate or replace the assistance provided by these programs. 
The National Trade Corridors Fund (NTCF) helps fund infrastructure projects in Canada. Infrastructure projects could include work to airports, ports, railways, transportation facilities, and access roads. 
 
Canadian Agricultural Strategic Priorities Program 
Deadline : Saturday, March 31, 2029 
The program will: help the agriculture, agri-food, and agri-based products sector ('agricultural sector') take advantage of a situation or circumstance to develop a new idea, product, niche, or market opportunity, respond to new and emerging issues (address sector issues that were unknown or not a concern before) and find and test solutions to new and ongoing issues to adapt and remain competitive. 
 
Clean Fuels Fund 
Deadline: Friday March 31st, 2030 
This commitment was re-affirmed in Budget 2021 with an investment of $1.5 billion over five years to establish a Clean Fuels Fund, to de-risk the capital investment required to build new or expand existing clean fuel production facilities (including facility conversions). 
 
Changing Narrative Fund 
Deadline: there is no deadline to apply 
Budget 2024 committed $10M, over 3 years, starting in 2024-2025, to the Department of Canadian Heritage to support the implementation of the Changing Narratives Fund
The Changing Narratives Fund (CNF) is a new initiative that will support diverse communities (i.e. Indigenous, Black, racialized, ethno-religious minority, people with disabilities and 2SLGBTQI+ communities) to share their stories, experiences, and perspectives so that their voices are accurately and authentically represented in the media, and culture sectors in Canada. 
 
Emission reduction Advancement Program (ERAP) 
Deadline: there is no deadline to apply 
The Emissions Reduction Advancement Program (ERAP) is a new industry-funded, federally managed program that provides an alternative compliance option under the Clean Fuel Regulations for fuel suppliers. Contributions made by fuel suppliers under this program will go towards supporting projects that will reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Canada.

Farm Debt Mediation Service 
Deadline: there is no deadline 
The Farm Debt Mediation Service offers free financial support for farmers, such as financial counselling and mediation, to help those who are having difficulties meeting their financial obligations. It is a voluntary, private and confidential service that brings producers and their creditor(s) together with a mediator in a neutral forum to reach a mutually acceptable solution. The majority of cases that have gone through the mediation process have resulted in a signed arrangement between farmer and creditor(s). 
 
Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy- Investments in Training Equipment  
Deadline: there is no deadline- applications accepted on an on-going basis  
What this funding opportunity offers: Funding for projects that demonstrate a need for trades training equipment and materials that meet industry standards or investments in new technology to train apprentices in Red Seal trades. 
 
Canada Retraining and Opportunities Initiative- funding program  
Deadline: there is no deadline- until funding is fully committed  
Mass layoffs can have long-term effects on local employment in a community. A variety of services and programs exist that can be accessed quickly to help workers affected by a layoff (e.g., Employment Insurance, training and re-employment transition supports, etc.). The Canada Retraining and Opportunities Initiative can be accessed when additional supports are needed within the community.

Foreign Credential Recognition Program   
Deadline: there is no deadline to apply 
The Government of Canada provides funding to governments and organizations through the Foreign Credential Recognition Program (FCRP) to support foreign credential recognition in Canada. 
The FCRP does not provide money directly to individuals; it provides funding to provincial and territorial governments and other organizations. These other organizations may include regulatory bodies, national associations and credential assessment agencies. Governments and organizations use the funding for programs that contribute to the integration of skilled newcomers in their field or related field of study.  
 
Forest Innovation Program 
Deadline: there is no deadline to apply  
The Forest Innovation Program (FIP) was created in 2012 to support the first phase of the forest sector innovation process by facilitating research and development (R&D) for innovative technologies, products, and processes in the emerging bioeconomy.
 
AgriRecovery 
Deadline: there is no deadline to apply 
The Framework is part of a suite of federal-provincial-territorial (FPT) Business Risk Management (BRM) tools under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership. AgriRecovery is an FPT disaster relief framework intended to work together with the core BRM programs to help agricultural producers recover from natural disasters
 
Agri-Invest  
Deadline: there is no deadline to apply 
AgriInvest is one of the business risk management programs the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP)

AgriInvest is a self-managed producer-government savings account designed to help you manage small income declines and make investments to manage risk and improve market income. 

Each year, you can deposit up to 100% of your Allowable Net Sales to your AgriInvest account and receive a matching government contribution on 1% of your Allowable Net Sales. For more information, visit How is your deposit calculated? 

 

Agristability  
Deadline: there is no deadline to apply 
AgriStability is one of the Business Risk Management programs under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP)

AgriStability protects Canadian producers against large declines in farming income for reasons such as production loss, increased costs and market conditions. 

AgriStability is a margin based program designed to help producers manage large income declines. 

Each year, you must enrol in the program, pay your fee and submit a form by the applicable deadlines. 

Starting with the 2023 program year, the compensation rate under AgriStability will increase from 70% to 80%. You may receive a payment if your production margin in the current year falls below your historical reference margin by more than 30%. AgriStability covers 80% of the loss for every dollar below the threshold.

Canadian Agriculture Loans Act Program 
Deadline: there is no deadline to apply  
The Canadian Agricultural Loans Act (CALA) Program is a loan guarantee program designed to increase the availability of loans to farmers and agricultural co-operatives. Farmers can use an agriculture loan to establish, improve, and develop farms, while agricultural co-operatives may also access loans to process, distribute, or market the products of farming. 
 
Price Pooling Program 
Deadline: there is no deadline to apply 
The Price Pooling Program provides a price guarantee that protects marketing agencies and producers against unanticipated declines in the market price of their products. Program participants use the price guarantee as security in obtaining credit from lending institutions. This credit allows the marketing agency to improve cash flow of producers through an initial payment for products delivered. It also provides equal returns to producers for products of like grades, varieties and types. 

This program is designed to assist and encourage cooperative marketing of eligible agricultural products, including processed products. 
 
Canada Community Security Program 
Deadline: There is no deadline to apply. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the yearly funding has been allocated 
The Government of Canada is committed to protecting the safety and security of Canadians. Public Safety Canada (PS) is working to build a safe and resilient Canada and has a renewed commitment to this goal through the Canada Community Security Program (CCSP). The CCSP provides time-limited funding and support for communities at risk of hate-motivated incidents and hate-motivated crimes to enhance physical security at their gathering spaces. 
 
Indigenous Languages and Cultures Program

The objectives of the Indigenous Languages and Cultures Programs are to support the efforts of Indigenous peoples to reclaim, revitalize, maintain and strengthen Indigenous languages and cultures; and to strengthen Indigenous cultural identities and participation in Canadian society.  

 
Canada Music Fund, Collective Initiatives component

The Collective Initiatives component provides financial assistance to undertake activities that help Canadian artists and industry professionals gain a greater profile at home and abroad, increase their artistic and business skills, and build their export-readiness and overall competitiveness.  
 
Canada Media Fund   
Application deadline: Various deadlines depending on the financing program. Learn more about the CMF funding programs.   
The Canada Media Fund (CMF) supports the creation of popular, innovative Canadian content and software applications. The CMF is a not-for-profit corporation that supports the Canadian television and digital media industries through two streams of funding. The Experimental Stream encourages the development of innovative, interactive content and leading-edge software applications for digital media platforms. The Convergent Stream supports the creation of convergent television and digital media content which Canadians anytime, anywhere.   
 
Canada Arts Presentation Fund   
Deadline for programming Professional Arts Festivals and Performing Arts Series Presenters: applicants must contact their regional office to determine which deadline is appropriate for their organization.   
Deadline for Development: All applicants must contact the nearest regional office of the Department of Canadian Heritage to verify the application deadline.   
The CAPF provides financial assistance to organizations that professionally present arts festivals or performing arts series (arts presenters) and organizations that offer support to arts presenters. The CAPF has 2 main components — Programming and Development. The Programming component has 2 streams: Professional Arts Festivals and Performing Arts Series Presenters; and Presenter Support Organizations. 

Joint Initiative for Digital Citizen Research

 Young Canada Works   
Deadline for students and graduates: There is no deadline. 
Deadline for employers: The deadlines for internship applications are determined by the delivery organization that administers the program, the Fédération de la jeunesse canadienne-française (FJCF). Please contact the FJCF to inquire about deadlines.   
Young Canada Works (YCW) offers a variety of short-term job and internship programs to job seekers and employers. Students can apply to two short-term job programs, while graduates can apply to two internship programs. Read more about YCW for students and graduates. Eligible employers may benefit from wage subsidies and access to a pool of talented youth with innovative ideas and competitive skills. Read more about YCW for employers.   
 
Local Journalism Initiative  
Deadline: Please contact the delivery organizations  
The Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) supports the creation of original civic journalism that covers the diverse needs of underserved communities across Canada.   
Funding is available to eligible Canadian media organizations to hire journalists or pay freelance journalists to produce civic journalism for underserved communities.  
 
Canadian Periodical Fund 
Deadline: there is no deadline 
The Canada Periodical Fund (CPF) provides financial assistance to Canadian print magazines, print community newspapers (non-daily) and digital periodicals, to enable them to overcome market disadvantages and continue to provide Canadian readers with the content they choose to read. 

 

Canada Cultural Spaces Fund 
Deadline: The CCSF receives applications on an ongoing basis 
The CCSF supports the improvement of physical conditions for arts, heritage culture and creative innovation. The CCSF supports renovation projects, the acquisition of specialized equipment, and planning, design and feasibility studies related to arts and heritage cultural spaces. 
 
Exhibition Circulation Fund - Museums Assistance Program 
Deadline: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and can be submitted at any time during the year. 
The Exhibition Circulation Fund component of the Museums Assistance Program (MAP) assists museums with the costs related to the hosting of travelling exhibitions originating from another Canadian non-profit organization, an Indigenous organization or from a federal heritage institution, and the borrowing of artefacts for exhibition purposes from any federal institution. 
 
Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program, Events component 
Deadline: Applications are accepted on a continuous basis. However, to ensure timely assessment, it is advised that your application be submitted 18 weeks prior to the proposed event start date.  
The Events component of the Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program (MARP) provides funding to community-based events that: promote intercultural or interfaith understanding; promote discussions on multiculturalism, diversity, racism and religious discrimination; celebrate a community’s history and culture such as heritage months recognized by Parliament.  
 
Building Communities through Arts and Heritage 
Deadline for the Local Festivals: 
January 31 – for festivals starting between September 1 and December 31 of the same calendar year 
April 30 – for festivals starting between January 1 and June 30 of the next calendar year 
October 15 – for festivals starting between July 1 and August 31 of the next calendar year 
Deadline for the Community Anniversaries: 
April 30 for events that will occur during the next calendar year. 
Deadline for the Legacy Fund: 
Projects must be submitted before the anniversary date of the event or personality to be commemorated. 
The Building Communities through Arts and Heritage program was created to help you celebrate your community – both its past and its present. This program increases opportunities for local artists; local artisans; local heritage performers or specialists; and local First Nations, Inuit, and Métis cultural carriers to be involved in their community through festivals, events and projects. It also allows local groups to commemorate their local history and heritage. 
 
Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI)  
Deadline: None  
REGI is a national funding program. It supports the economic growth of businesses and regions through innovation. In Quebec, it is delivered by CED, which takes into account the needs of each region.

Athlete Assistance Program

The Athlete Assistance Program (AAP) is a sport funding program that contributes to the pursuit of excellence. AAP support seeks to relieve some of the financial pressures associated with preparing for and participating in international sport and assists high-performance Canadian athletes to combine their sport and academic or working careers while training intensively in pursuit of world-class performances.  
 
Official Languages Support Programs 
Deadlines: Depend on the component 
The Department of Canadian Heritage supports two official languages funding programs from which several initiatives are derived. The collective goal of these programs is to: Enhance the vitality of English- and French-speaking minority communities; and Promote the English and French languages in Canadian society.   

 

Agricultural Clean Technology Program - Research and Innovation Stream 
Deadline: None 
As part of the Government of Canada’s strengthened climate plan, A Healthy Environment and a Healthy Economy, the new Agricultural Clean Technology (ACT) Program aims to create an enabling environment for the development and adoption of clean technology that will help drive the changes required to achieve a low-carbon economy and promote sustainable growth in Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector. 
 
Access to Justice in Both Official Languages Support Fund 
Status : Currently open 
Program Objectives : Increase the capacity of the justice system and its stakeholders to offer justice services in both official languages and increase awareness in the legal community and official language minority and majority communities concerning their rights and issues related to access to justice in both official languages 

 

Victims Fund - Provincial Territorial Program Funding 
Status : Currently open 
Program Objectives : Assist in the implementation of federal and provincial/territorial legislation for victims of crime, particularly provisions of the Criminal Code (such as victim impact statements, publication bans, restitution, victim surcharge, testimonial aids, etc.) and implementation of provincial victims’ legislation and the Canadian Statement of Basic Principles of Justice for Victims of Crime through the development and enhancement of police, court, Crown or system-based victim assistance programs, conferences, public legal education and similar initiatives.

Consultation Invitation to participate in the revision of the North American Product Classification System (NAPCS) Canada 
Current Status: open until Monday June 30th, 2025 
Statistics Canada invites data producers and users, representatives of business associations, federal, provincial, and local government agencies, academics and researchers, as well as all other interested parties, to submit proposals as part of the revision of the North American Product Classification System (NAPCS) Canada. We are seeking proposed changes for two main reasons: to gather feedback from data producers and users as part of the NAPCS revision process; and to ensure that user needs continue to be met so that the classification remains relevant. 
 
Consultation on the implementation of the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules (CBPR) Forum certifications in Canada 
Current Status: open until Monday June 30th, 2025 
The Government is seeking feedback on how to shape the implementation model for Global Forum certifications in Canada. In particular, respondents are invited to share their views on the benefits of adopting one or both of the Global Forum certifications, the type of certification body (or bodies) that would best suit Canada's economic and regulatory context, and any additional measures that would make the certifications more useful for individuals, businesses and the Canadian economy. The responses received will shape the implementation process. 
 
General Regulations under the Canada National Marine Conservation Areas Act
Current Status: open until Sunday March 15th, 2026 
Parks Canada is developing general regulations under the Canada National Marine Conservation Areas Act to help manage National Marine Conservation Areas (NMCAs). Between April and October 2023, Parks Canada consulted Indigenous organizations, provinces and territories, stakeholders, and the public on the draft regulations. A "What We Heard" report summarizing the feedback received during the engagement is available at www.letstalknmcas.ca. The draft regulations are expected to be published in Part I of the Canada Gazette in 2025 for public comment. Parks Canada aims to publish the final version of the regulations in Part II of the Canada Gazette by 2026. 
 
Co-developing distinctions-based Indigenous health legislation

Do you know someone who goes above and beyond to support our Canadian Armed Forces and Royal Canadian Mounted Police Veterans and their families? Then please nominate your candidate for a Veterans Ombud Commendation Award.  
 
Odyssey – Language Assistant Program   
Deadline: Open for applications   
Odyssey is a bilingual, paid work experience that provides opportunities for postsecondary students to travel to another province. English-speaking candidates can work in English in Quebec or New Brunswick, while French-speaking candidates can work in French in a province or territory other than their own. Participants work 25 hours per week and receive a taxable salary of $27,000 for a nine-month work term.   
 
Youth Exchanges Canada 
Deadline: Applications reviewed on a continual basis  
The Exchanges Canada Program helps youth to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the country, while connecting with other youth in Canada. Youth Exchanges Canada supports a number of Canadian organizations in offering reciprocal exchanges for individual youth or groups of youth, generally between the ages of 12 and 17. Youth from different parts of the country are paired according to their ages and interests, then each participant takes a turn hosting their “twin” in their home.
