Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB)
The Canada Recovery Benefit gives income support to employed and self-employed individuals who are directly affected by COVID-19 and are not entitled to Employment Insurance (EI) benefits. The CRB is administered by the Canada Revenue Agency, and can be learned more about here.

Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS)
As a Canadian employer whose business has been affected by COVID-19, you may be eligible for a wage subsidy from the federal government, retroactive from March 15, 2020, to December, 2020. The CEWS will also be available up until June of 2021. This wage subsidy can provide up to $1,129 per employee, per week, to enable you to re-hire workers previously laid off as a result of COVID-19, help prevent further job losses, and better position you to resume normal operations following the crisis. An additional 25% top-up subsidy for employers most affected by the pandemic is also available.  Click here to apply for the CEWS.

Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA)
To ensure that small businesses have access to the capital they need to see them through the current challenges, the Government of Canada has launched the new Canada Emergency Business Account, which has been implemented by eligible financial institutions in cooperation with Export Development Canada (EDC). This program provides interest-free loans of up to $40,000 to small businesses and not-for-profits, to help cover their operating costs during a period where their revenues have been temporarily reduced, due to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 virus. Click here to learn more.

Questions about CEBA, or the the status of your application? Call the new CEBA Call Centre at 1-888-324-4201 between 9 AM to 5PM (HNE), Monday to Friday. While they are unable to assess applications on site, the CEBA experts on this hotline will be able to address your questions about the program.

Business Credit Availability Program (BCAP)
If your business needs access to working capital to cover operational costs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be eligible for the EDC BCAP Guarantee. This guarantee is for new operating lines of credit or new term loans to support your cash flow needs. Click here for addtional details.
