Local Food Infrastructure Fund – Small Scale Projects

The LFIF aims to support locally-driven projects that will help improve community food security through the purchase and installation of infrastructure/equipment that will increase access to local, nutritious and culturally appropriate food. Priority will be given to projects that predominantly serve equity-deserving groups, particularly those that are led by or focus on Indigenous and Black communities.

The Indigenous Partnerships for Species at Risk (IPSAR), formerly known as the ‘Aboriginal Fund for Species at Risk (AFSAR)’, is a Government of Canada program administered by Environment and Climate Change Canada. Health Canada Emergency Treatment Fund to support rapid responses to the overdose crisis

The federal government announced the launch of the first call for proposals for the Emergency Treatment Fund. The fund will invest $150 million to help municipalities and First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities address their urgent needs and support rapid responses to the overdose crisis.
Network of Early Childhood Stakeholders (NECS) and Implementation of Early Learning and Child Care Initiatives in Francophone Official Language Minority Communities

Mental Health of Black Canadians Fund

The government is launching an open call for proposals to allocate $1M under the Mental Health of Black Canadians Fund. Community-based organizations can apply for up to $100,000 to support projects that seek to build organizations’ capacity to develop and deliver programs that promote the mental health of Black people in Canada. Canada Cultural Investment Fund

Deadline for Limited Support to Endangered Arts Organizations: Applications are accepted at any time throughout the year
The Canada Cultural Investment Fund encourages private sector investment, partnership and sound business practices to help arts and heritage organizations be better rooted and recognized in their communities. The Canada Cultural Investment Fund provides support through three components: The Strategic Initiatives component provides financial assistance for projects involving multiple partners that will help arts and heritage organizations improve their business practices and diversify their revenues. The Endowment Incentives component encourages arts organizations to build new revenue streams. Canadians are encouraged to support the arts by providing donations to professional arts organization's endowment fund. The government provides a funding incentive for these donations. The Limited Support to Endangered Arts Organizations component supports those rare instances where a professional arts organization faces the prospect of closure but there is a high degree of support for its continuation and a viable business/restructuring plan. Assistance through this component can enable an arts organization to restructure, so it can continue to contribute to the community it is serving.
Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund - Indigenous Grants Program

The Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund (CMIF) will provide up to $1.5 billion in federal funding over seven years for clean energy and transportation infrastructure projects necessary to enable the sustainable development and expansion of critical minerals in Canada. The CMIF currently offers grants to support Indigenous engagement, participation and capacity building related to infrastructure projects that would enable critical minerals development.

Explore – Second Language Program
Deadline: Tuesday, February 4, 2025
Explore is an intensive language immersion program that provides opportunities for English-speaking students to study French, and for French-speaking students to study English. For participants 16 and older, Explore sessions are offered during the spring or summer, which last between 31 and 33 days. For 13- to 15-year-olds, three-week summer sessions are available. Some virtual Explore sessions are offered for those who are unable to participate in person.
Destination Clic – French Enrichment Program
Deadline: Tuesday, February 25, 2025
Destination Clic is a three-week summer program for francophone students in Grades 8, 9 and 10 who attend a French-language (French as a first language) school and live outside of Quebec. The program contributes $2,400 for each participant to cover the costs of tuition fees, instructional materials, meals, and lodging.
Zero Emission Vehicle Awareness Initiative (ZEVAI) - Indigenous-led projects pilot
Deadline: Monday, March 31, 2025
The Zero Emission Vehicle Awareness Initiative (ZEVEI) supports projects that aim to increase awareness, knowledge and public confidence in zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) and public charging and refueling infrastructure. The ZEVAI helps fund outreach, education, and capacity-building activities, ultimately enabling greater adoption of ZEVs by Canadians in all regions of the country. The Ingidenous-led projects pilot program supports Indigenous-led projects that aim to address awareness and knowledge gaps related to all types of ZEVs, lower-carbon medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, and clean fuels, such as clean hydrogen and biofuels.
Canada Retraining and Opportunities Initiative

The Canada Retraining and Opportunities Initiative supports workforce planning and skills training in communities significantly impacted by a mass layoff. It provides funding for community-based projects that help workers develop the skills they need to transition to new jobs.
Canada Book Fund, Support for publishers
Deadline: April 1st each year
The Publishing Support sub-component of the Canada Book Fund (CBF) assists the ongoing production, marketing and distribution of Canadian-authored books. Supplementary funding based on export sales is also available as part of Publishing Support.
Canada Arts Presentation Fund (CAPF)
Deadline - programming: April 1st for projects which will occur after April 1st of the following year
Deadline - development: All applicants must contact the nearest regional office of the Department of Canadian Heritage to verify eligibility and obtain an application package
The CAPF provides financial assistance to organizations that professionally present arts festivals or performing arts series (arts presenters) and organizations that offer support to arts presenters.
The Residential Schools Missing Children Community Support Fund
Deadline: For the next fiscal year, Monday, September 15, 2025
The Residential Schools Missing Children Community Support Fund was established in 2022 to empower Indigenous communities and Survivors to lead the efforts in identifying children who did not return home from residential schools and locating burial sites linked to former residential schools. An independent, national, toll-free helpline is available to anyone who needs help. This line is accessible free of charge, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at 1-844-413-6649.
Tourism Growth Program
Deadline: Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Projects that are supported must be completed by this date
The Tourism Growth Program is now open in Quebec, with a budget of $21.1 million. SMEs, NPOs and social economy enterprises active in the tourism industry can now apply to the program through Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED). CED’s support focuses on increasing the capacity of local tourist attractions to enhance their potential to attract visitors from outside Quebec by supporting the development of tourism products and experiences, in particular in rural and remote regions.
Green Freight Program - Stream 1 Assess and Retrofit
Deadline: Applications will be accepted on a continuous intake basis until March 31, 2027.
The Green Freight Program will help fleets reduce their fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions through fleet energy assessments, fleet retrofits, engine repowers, logistical best-practice implementation and the purchase of low carbon vehicles. Stream 1 of the Program is providing grant funding up to a maximum of $250,000 per Applicant towards Third-Party Fleet Energy Assessments and Truck/Trailer Equipment Retrofits. Natural Resources Canada has established a list of approved retrofit devices, of which a percentage of the cost will be eligible for a grant. This stream aims to increase the knowledge and capacity of the on-road freight transportation sector to adopt energy efficiency measures tailored to operational needs by providing financial support.
The Low Carbon Economy Fund - Indigenous Leadership Fund

The Low Carbon Economy Fund (LCEF) supports projects to reduce Canada’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, generate clean growth, build resilient communities, and create good jobs for Canadians. The Indigenous Leadership Fund is a new program under the Low Carbon Economy Fund to support climate action by Indigenous peoples. The program will fund Indigenous-owned and led renewable energy, energy efficiency, and low-carbon heating projects. Recognizing the unique rights, interests, and circumstances of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis governments, communities, and organizations, the Indigenous Leadership Fund will use a distinctions-based approach to deliver funding to support projects that are Indigenous-owned and led, advance Indigenous climate leadership and support the self-determined climate, social, and economic priorities of Indigenous peoples. The AgriMarketing Program is a $129.97-million program under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP). AgriScience Program

The AgriScience Program, under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP), aims to accelerate innovation by providing funding and support for pre-commercial science activities and research that benefits the agriculture and agri-food sector and Canadians. The program has two components:
Clusters Component — supports projects intended to mobilize industry, government and academia through partnerships, and address priority national themes and horizontal issues
Projects Component — supports a single project or a smaller set of projects that would be less comprehensive than a Cluster.
Canada Community Security Program
Deadline: There is no deadline to apply. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the yearly funding has been allocated
The Government of Canada is committed to protecting the safety and security of Canadians. Public Safety Canada (PS) is working to build a safe and resilient Canada and has a renewed commitment to this goal through the Canada Community Security Program (CCSP). The CCSP provides time-limited funding and support for communities at risk of hate-motivated incidents and hate-motivated crimes to enhance physical security at their gathering spaces.
Indigenous Languages and Cultures Program

The Canada Media Fund (CMF) supports the creation of popular, innovative Canadian content and software applications. The CMF is a not-for-profit corporation that supports the Canadian television and digital media industries through two streams of funding. The Experimental Stream encourages the development of innovative, interactive content and leading-edge software applications for digital media platforms. The Convergent Stream supports the creation of convergent television and digital media content which Canadians anytime, anywhere.
Canada Arts Presentation Fund

Local Journalism Initiative

Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program

The Events component of the Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program (MARP) provides funding to community-based events that: promote intercultural or interfaith understanding; promote discussions on multiculturalism, diversity, racism and religious discrimination; celebrate a community’s history and culture such as heritage months recognized by Parliament.
Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI)

REGI is a national funding program. It supports the economic growth of businesses and regions through innovation. In Quebec, it is delivered by CED, which takes into account the needs of each region.

Upcoming: Emissions Reduction Advancement Program

The Emissions Reduction Advancement Program (ERAP) is a new industry-funded, federally managed program that provides an alternative compliance option under the Clean Fuel Regulations for fuel suppliers. Contributions made by fuel suppliers under this program will go towards supporting projects that will reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Canada.
Agricultural Clean Technology Program - Research and Innovation Stream

As part of the Government of Canada’s strengthened climate plan, A Healthy Environment and a Healthy Economy, the new Agricultural Clean Technology (ACT) Program aims to create an enabling environment for the development and adoption of clean technology that will help drive the changes required to achieve a low-carbon economy and promote sustainable growth in Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector.
Clean Fuels Fund

This commitment was re-affirmed in Budget 2021 with an investment of $1.5 billion over five years to establish a Clean Fuels Fund, to de-risk the capital investment required to build new or expand existing clean fuel production facilities (including facility conversions).

Consulting Canadians on the operation of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA)

The Parole Board of Canada (PBC or the Board) is an independent administrative tribunal. The PBC makes conditional release decisions for offenders sentenced to federal penitentiaries and for offenders serving sentences of less than two years in provinces and territories that do not have their own parole boards. The Appeal Division of the PBC hears appeals of PBC conditional release decisions. The Board is also responsible for making record suspension decisions, decisions on the expungement of a conviction and recommendations for the exercise of clemency through the Royal Prerogative of Mercy. Odyssey – Language Assistant Program

Odyssey is a bilingual, paid work experience that provides opportunities for postsecondary students to travel to another province. English-speaking candidates can work in English in Quebec or New Brunswick, while French-speaking candidates can work in French in a province or territory other than their own. Participants work 25 hours per week and receive a taxable salary of $27,000 for a nine-month work term.
Youth Exchanges Canada
Deadline: Applications reviewed on a continual basis
The Exchanges Canada Program helps youth to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the country, while connecting with other youth in Canada. Youth Exchanges Canada supports a number of Canadian organizations in offering reciprocal exchanges for individual youth or groups of youth, generally between the ages of 12 and 17. Youth from different parts of the country are paired according to their ages and interests, then each participant takes a turn hosting their “twin” in their home.
