Canada Summer Jobs wage subsidy

Canada Summer Jobs is a program under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS), which aims to provide quality summer employment opportunities for youth to develop skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labour market. The program provides wage subsidies to support employers from not-for-profit organizations and the public sector, as well as private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees, to create quality summer work experiences for youth aged 15 to 30 years. National Crime Prevention Strategy
Deadline: Friday, December 20, 2024
The National Crime Prevention Strategy (NCPS) is the policy framework for the implementation of crime prevention interventions in Canada for children, youth and young adults ages 6-30.
The NCPS provides funding through key Crime Prevention Funding Programs to: address known risk and protective factors associated with crime among vulnerable groups of the population; respond to priority crime issues or local, targeted and tailored youth violence and youth gang prevention initiatives; and/or increase knowledge about what works in crime prevention. The 2024 NCPS Call for Applications will result in initiatives funded under the Crime Prevention Action Fund (CPAF), the Northern and Indigenous Crime Prevention Fund (NICPF) and the Youth Gang Prevention Fund (YGPF).
School Health Grant for Youth Program
Deadline: Eligible applications will be approved on a first-come first-served basis until funds are fully expended, or until December 20, 2024
The Public Health Agency of Canada has launched the next solicitation for the School Health Grant for Youth program. Through this program, students ages 16 – 19 who are enrolled in secondary or post-secondary school are invited to apply for $1,500 in grant funding to promote healthy living in their school. The overarching goal of the grant is to empower youth to develop their own initiatives that encourage and promote healthy living in their schools and communities. Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund - Indigenous Grants Program

The Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund (CMIF) will provide up to $1.5 billion in federal funding over seven years for clean energy and transportation infrastructure projects necessary to enable the sustainable development and expansion of critical minerals in Canada. The CMIF currently offers grants to support Indigenous engagement, participation and capacity building related to infrastructure projects that would enable critical minerals development.

Social Development Partnerships Program – Disability Component

This funding will help people with disabilities and their families access disability programs and benefits, like the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) and the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB).
Youth Mental Health Fund
Deadline: Wednesday, January 22, 2025
The Youth Mental Health Fund is looking to fund projects of up to $500,000 per fiscal year for projects that may be up to 48 months in length, to enhance the capacity of community health organizations to deliver more care for young people living in Canada and better equip these organizations to refer youth to other mental health services within their networks and partnerships. Project proposals exceeding the $500,000 per year limit may be considered, at Health Canada's discretion, based on their potential to achieve the objectives of the YMHF. For more informations.
Explore – Second Language Program
Deadline: Tuesday, February 4, 2025
Explore is an intensive language immersion program that provides opportunities for English-speaking students to study French, and for French-speaking students to study English. For participants 16 and older, Explore sessions are offered during the spring or summer, which last between 31 and 33 days. For 13- to 15-year-olds, three-week summer sessions are available. Some virtual Explore sessions are offered for those who are unable to participate in person.
Destination Clic – French Enrichment Program
Deadline: Tuesday, February 25, 2025
Destination Clic is a three-week summer program for francophone students in Grades 8, 9 and 10 who attend a French-language (French as a first language) school and live outside of Quebec. The program contributes $2,400 for each participant to cover the costs of tuition fees, instructional materials, meals, and lodging.
Zero Emission Vehicle Awareness Initiative (ZEVAI) - Indigenous-led projects pilot
Deadline: Monday, March 31, 2025
The Zero Emission Vehicle Awareness Initiative (ZEVEI) supports projects that aim to increase awareness, knowledge and public confidence in zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) and public charging and refueling infrastructure. The ZEVAI helps fund outreach, education, and capacity-building activities, ultimately enabling greater adoption of ZEVs by Canadians in all regions of the country. The Ingidenous-led projects pilot program supports Indigenous-led projects that aim to address awareness and knowledge gaps related to all types of ZEVs, lower-carbon medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, and clean fuels, such as clean hydrogen and biofuels.
Canada Retraining and Opportunities Initiative

The Canada Retraining and Opportunities Initiative supports workforce planning and skills training in communities significantly impacted by a mass layoff. It provides funding for community-based projects that help workers develop the skills they need to transition to new jobs.
Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund (CHIF) - Direct delivery stream

Deadline - Indigenous applicants: Monday, May 19th, 2025, 15:00
CHIF is a $6 billion fund to accelerate construction and upgrading of critical housing infrastructure. This includes water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste infrastructure that are needed for existing and new homes. This stream will provide $1 billion to municipalities for urgent infrastructure needs that will directly create more housing. This investment is part of the Government of Canada's commitment to address the impacts of the housing crisis on communities of all sizes across Canada.
Canada Book Fund, Support for Publishers
Deadline: April 1st each year
The Publishing Support sub-component of the Canada Book Fund (CBF) assists the ongoing production, marketing and distribution of Canadian-authored books. Supplementary funding based on export sales is also available as part of Publishing Support.
Canada Arts Presentation Fund (CAPF)
Deadline - programming: April 1st for projects which will occur after April 1st of the following year
Deadline - development: All applicants must contact the nearest regional office of the Department of Canadian Heritage to verify eligibility and obtain an application package
The CAPF provides financial assistance to organizations that professionally present arts festivals or performing arts series (arts presenters) and organizations that offer support to arts presenters.
The Residential Schools Missing Children Community Support Fund
Deadline: For the next fiscal year, Monday, September 15, 2025
The Residential Schools Missing Children Community Support Fund was established in 2022 to empower Indigenous communities and Survivors to lead the efforts in identifying children who did not return home from residential schools and locating burial sites linked to former residential schools. An independent, national, toll-free helpline is available to anyone who needs help. This line is accessible free of charge, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at 1-844-413-6649.
Tourism Growth Program
Deadline: Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Projects that are supported must be completed by this date
The Tourism Growth Program is now open in Quebec, with a budget of $21.1 million. SMEs, NPOs and social economy enterprises active in the tourism industry can now apply to the program through Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED). CED’s support focuses on increasing the capacity of local tourist attractions to enhance their potential to attract visitors from outside Quebec by supporting the development of tourism products and experiences, in particular in rural and remote regions.
Regional Homebuilding Innovation Initiative (RHII)
Deadline: Applications accepted while funds last until Tuesday, March 31, 2026
With an amount of $10.45M in Quebec, the RHII will support manufacturing companies in the residential multi-housing construction sector in the development and commercialization of innovative solutions. Investments made under the RHII will accelerate innovation in the sector while improving its productivity, with the goal of enabling Quebec builders to construct more homes, more quickly.
Green Freight Program - Stream 1 Assess and Retrofit
Deadline: Applications will be accepted on a continuous intake basis until March 31, 2027
The Green Freight Program will help fleets reduce their fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions through fleet energy assessments, fleet retrofits, engine repowers, logistical best-practice implementation and the purchase of low carbon vehicles. Stream 1 of the Program is providing grant funding up to a maximum of $250,000 per Applicant towards Third-Party Fleet Energy Assessments and Truck/Trailer Equipment Retrofits. Natural Resources Canada has established a list of approved retrofit devices, of which a percentage of the cost will be eligible for a grant. This stream aims to increase the knowledge and capacity of the on-road freight transportation sector to adopt energy efficiency measures tailored to operational needs by providing financial support.
The Low Carbon Economy Fund - Indigenous Leadership Fund

The Low Carbon Economy Fund (LCEF) supports projects to reduce Canada’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, generate clean growth, build resilient communities, and create good jobs for Canadians. The Indigenous Leadership Fund is a new program under the Low Carbon Economy Fund to support climate action by Indigenous peoples. The program will fund Indigenous-owned and led renewable energy, energy efficiency, and low-carbon heating projects. Recognizing the unique rights, interests, and circumstances of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis governments, communities, and organizations, the Indigenous Leadership Fund will use a distinctions-based approach to deliver funding to support projects that are Indigenous-owned and led, advance Indigenous climate leadership and support the self-determined climate, social, and economic priorities of Indigenous peoples. The AgriMarketing Program is a $129.97-million program under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP). The program will support national agricultural sectors to increase and diversify exports to international markets and seize domestic market opportunities and grow the economy by increasing and diversifying Canadian exports of agriculture, agri-food, agri-based products, including fish and seafood, by increasing the visibility of Canadian products and increasing the capacity of exporting producers to identify and seize market development opportunities in targeted markets
AgriInnovate Program

The program provides repayable contributions to incent targeted commercialization, demonstration and/or adoption of commercial-ready innovative technologies and processes that increase agricultural and agri-food sector competitiveness and sustainability benefits.
AgriScience Program

The AgriScience Program, under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP), aims to accelerate innovation by providing funding and support for pre-commercial science activities and research that benefits the agriculture and agri-food sector and Canadians. The program has two components:
- Clusters Component which supports projects intended to mobilize industry, government and academia through partnerships, and address priority national themes and horizontal issues
- Projects Component which supports a single project or a smaller set of projects that would be less comprehensive than a Cluster.
Canada Community Security Program

The Government of Canada is committed to protecting the safety and security of Canadians. Public Safety Canada (PS) is working to build a safe and resilient Canada and has a renewed commitment to this goal through the Canada Community Security Program (CCSP). The CCSP provides time-limited funding and support for communities at risk of hate-motivated incidents and hate-motivated crimes to enhance physical security at their gathering spaces.
Indigenous Languages and Cultures Program

The Canada Media Fund (CMF) supports the creation of popular, innovative Canadian content and software applications. The CMF is a not-for-profit corporation that supports the Canadian television and digital media industries through two streams of funding. The Experimental Stream encourages the development of innovative, interactive content and leading-edge software applications for digital media platforms. The Convergent Stream supports the creation of convergent television and digital media content which Canadians anytime, anywhere.
Canada Arts Presentation Fund

The CAPF provides financial assistance to organizations that professionally present arts festivals or performing arts series (arts presenters) and organizations that offer support to arts presenters. Local Journalism Initiative

The Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) supports the creation of original civic journalism that covers the diverse needs of underserved communities across Canada.
Funding is available to eligible Canadian media organizations to hire journalists or pay freelance journalists to produce civic journalism for underserved communities.
Canada Cultural Spaces Fund
Deadline: The CCSF receives applications on an ongoing basis
The CCSF supports the improvement of physical conditions for arts, heritage culture and creative innovation. The CCSF supports renovation projects, the acquisition of specialized equipment, and planning, design and feasibility studies related to arts and heritage cultural spaces.
Exhibition Circulation Fund - Museums Assistance Program
Deadline: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and can be submitted at any time during the year.
The Exhibition Circulation Fund component of the Museums Assistance Program (MAP) assists museums with the costs related to the hosting of travelling exhibitions originating from another Canadian non-profit organization, an Indigenous organization or from a federal heritage institution, and the borrowing of artefacts for exhibition purposes from any federal institution.
Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program, Events component
Deadline: Applications are accepted on a continuous basis. However, to ensure timely assessment, it is advised that your application be submitted 18 weeks prior to the proposed event start date.
The Events component of the Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program (MARP) provides funding to community-based events that: promote intercultural or interfaith understanding; promote discussions on multiculturalism, diversity, racism and religious discrimination; celebrate a community’s history and culture such as heritage months recognized by Parliament.
Building Communities through Arts and Heritage
Deadline for the Local Festivals:
January 31 – for festivals starting between September 1 and December 31 of the same calendar year

The Building Communities through Arts and Heritage program was created to help you celebrate your community – both its past and its present. This program increases opportunities for local artists; local artisans; local heritage performers or specialists; and local First Nations, Inuit, and Métis cultural carriers to be involved in their community through festivals, events and projects. It also allows local groups to commemorate their local history and heritage.
Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI)

REGI is a national funding program. It supports the economic growth of businesses and regions through innovation. In Quebec, it is delivered by CED, which takes into account the needs of each region.

The Athlete Assistance Program (AAP) is a sport funding program that contributes to the pursuit of excellence. AAP support seeks to relieve some of the financial pressures associated with preparing for and participating in international sport and assists high-performance Canadian athletes to combine their sport and academic or working careers while training intensively in pursuit of world-class performances.

Agricultural Clean Technology Program - Research and Innovation Stream

As part of the Government of Canada’s strengthened climate plan, A Healthy Environment and a Healthy Economy, the new Agricultural Clean Technology (ACT) Program aims to create an enabling environment for the development and adoption of clean technology that will help drive the changes required to achieve a low-carbon economy and promote sustainable growth in Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector.
Clean Fuels Fund

This commitment was re-affirmed in Budget 2021 with an investment of $1.5 billion over five years to establish a Clean Fuels Fund, to de-risk the capital investment required to build new or expand existing clean fuel production facilities (including facility conversions).

Consultation by the External Expert Review of the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care
Current Status : Open until Saturday, December 21, 2024
The Minister of Health directed the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) to establish the External Expert Review (EER) to review the governance, mandate, and scientific review processes of the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care (Task Force). The EER Panel was launched in October 2024. The EER has announced the start of its public consultation period, inviting organizations and members of the public to contribute to the review. The EER Panel is seeking input on various topics, including the structure of the Task Force, its mandate, and the guideline development process.
National Conversation on Advance Requests for MAiD
Current status: Open until end of January 2025
The Government of Canada is committed to ensuring that the framework for medical assistance in dying (MAiD) is both compassionate and rigorous, with safeguards that affirm and protect the inherent and equal value of every person’s life. As you know, MAiD is a matter of shared jurisdiction: it is offered as a health service by provincial and territorial systems, while the federal government governs its criminal law aspects under the Criminal Code. In response to the complex issue of advance requests, the Government of Canada is launching a national conversation this November. This initiative will gather perspectives from Canadians across the country through roundtables, online surveys, and discussions with provincial and territorial partners.
Consulting Canadians on a possible bilateral free trade agreement with the Philippines

Permanent Member, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission

Members of the Employment Insurance Board of Appeal

The Board of Appeal acts as an independent administrative tribunal composed of three member panels rendering decisions on all matters appealed under subsection 113 of the Employment Insurance Act. Principal, Royal Military College of Canada

The Principal is the academic leader of the Royal Military College Saint-Jean, accountable for the operation of all academic activities of the institution, including promoting research, developing the scholarly mission, and defining its academic policies and frameworks. The Principal is also a senior academic advisor to the Canadian Armed Forces, working closely with its counterpart at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario.
Odyssey – Language Assistant Program

Odyssey is a bilingual, paid work experience that provides opportunities for postsecondary students to travel to another province. English-speaking candidates can work in English in Quebec or New Brunswick, while French-speaking candidates can work in French in a province or territory other than their own. Participants work 25 hours per week and receive a taxable salary of $27,000 for a nine-month work term.
Youth Exchanges Canada
Deadline: Applications reviewed on a continual basis
The Exchanges Canada Program helps youth to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the country, while connecting with other youth in Canada. Youth Exchanges Canada supports a number of Canadian organizations in offering reciprocal exchanges for individual youth or groups of youth, generally between the ages of 12 and 17. Youth from different parts of the country are paired according to their ages and interests, then each participant takes a turn hosting their “twin” in their home.
